In collaboration with the Sustainable Tourism Project under the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Mountain Academy has officially commenced the Free Female Trekking Guide Training at Garma, Solukhumbu.
A total of 28 enthusiastic women from different parts of Nepal have been selected for this empowering 15-day residential training, which will be conducted at the Academy’s building in Garma.
The opening program was graced by distinguished guests:
- Mr. Chandra Singh Shrestha – Solukhumbu District Coordination Officer
- Mr. Tukti Sherpa – Administrative Head, Solududhkunda Municipality
- Mr. Sonam Sherpa – Ward President, Solududhkunda Ward-7
- Mr. Balakaji Karki – Ward Member, Solududhkunda Ward-7
- Mr. Lakpa Rinji Sherpa – Principal, Number Vocational Training Center
Their presence added encouragement and inspiration to the participants as we collectively work toward promoting women’s participation in Nepal’s trekking and tourism sector.
Nepal Mountain Academy is proud to take this initiative forward and contribute to building skilled, confident and professional female trekking guides.
