Tshering Jangbu Sherpa
Tshering Jangbu Sherpa, born on 1 August 1977, grew up in a small village, Thulung, in Solukhumbu district. Mr Sherpa is an IFMGA certified Nepali guide who has over 22 years of working experience in professional mountaineering. He scaled Mt. Everest 3 times, most recently in measuring the height of the majestic peak as a government endeavour.
He has been a recipient of various trainings like Trekking Guide Training, Specialty Rescue Module Training, Aspirant Guide Training, Mountain Guide Training (UIAGM/IFMGA), Ski Training (Level One, Two and Three), Helicopter Marshaling Course, General Training of Trainer (GTOT), GNSS Training Everest Base Camp, etc. to upgrade his knowledge as an expert mountaineer.

Mr Sherpa, along with a professional mountain guide, is also a board member of Nepal Mountain Academy and shares his comprehensive knowledge of mountains and mountaineering as an instructor, field expert and faculty member of BMS and MATS at the Academy. He is also an active member of organizations like Nepal Mountaineering Association, Nepal National Mountain Guide Association, Nepal Ski Academy and the Managing Director at Alpine Sherpa Guide Treks & Expedition.
Mr Sherpa has achieved numerous awards and accolades from various national and international institutions and has maintained commendable relations with mountaineers around the world. Being a prolific mountaineer and instructor, Mr Sherpa shows a great lineage towards quality education, training, and technical skills required for academicians and workers in the mountain terrains. The Academy, in alliance with Mr Sherpa, hopes to propagate a positive message on mountaineering education and training.
